In early 2022, we will be releasing new Trombone & Euphonium Series 2 Grade books for Preliminary to Grade 4 and a new Sight-reading book. These publications can be used in examination from 2022 and link with the Trombone & Euphonium Technical work book released in 2020. They will provide an additional resource for candidates and teachers using the AMEB Trombone and Euphonium syllabuses; no previous Grade book series will be withdrawn as a result of this release. Recorded Accompaniments (Preliminary to Grade 3) for Series 2 will also be available in 2022.
A Certificate of Performance exam will also be added to the Trombone and Euphonium syllabuses. This recital-style examination fits between Grade 8 and the Associate Diploma and is intended both to cap Level 2 (Grade 5 to Grade 8) and act as a bridge to the Level 3 (AMusA and LMusA) exams. The requirements for the Certificate of Performance will be published in the 2022 AMEB Manual of Syllabuses, available in hardcopy or digitally.

The Certificate of Performance and Grade books have been developed by the AMEB publishing team in consultation with an expert panel of trombone and euphonium specialists led by Brendan Collins.
