Syllabuses
Saxophone
Grades 6, 7 and 8
Attention
is drawn to the fact that The Orchestral Saxophonist,
ed Ronkin and Frascotti (Roncorp), is no longer
available from music stores. This is due to copyright
which has been recently reviewed and the book
can no longer be brought into Australia.
Candidates
wishing to be examined in Saxophone Grades 6,
7 or 8 during 2007, who do not have The Orchestral
Saxophonist, are asked to note that they can present
for List D another work from the other Manual
Lists for the Grade. This stipulation will appear
in the 2008 Manual of Syllabuses
General
Knowledge Guidelines
General
Knowledge Guidelines have been developed for
all three levels of the practical music syllabuses.
It is highly recommended that teachers and students
familiarise themselves with these guidelines which
were implemented in 2006.

The AMEB Syllabus Review Process is a consultative
approach to syllabus development. We seek input
from teachers, examiners, students and parents.
Consequently, a new syllabus takes time to develop.
